Boys to Men

Wheaten and Blue Wheaten Ameraucana "Ryder" and "River"

Wheaten Ameraucana "Riley"

Black Copper Marans "Milo"

Blue Laced Red Wyandotte "Wadley"

Splash Laced Red Wyandotte "Harley"

Welsummer "Jesse"

While they are still considered cockerels until they reach one year of age, when they are officially roosters, these April and May hatched boys are really starting to look like the real thing.
I love to watch them "strut their stuff".

Hi Luanne, I found your colored pencil blog while looking for info on working with colored pencil on pastelbord. I use a variety of other surfaces but this is the first time I'm trying pastelbord so I was looking for hints because I'm finding the pencil flakes off easily. Anyway .... your colored pencil work is fabulous! Best of luck with Art in Motion & with your family of chickens and roosters! Yes, chickens/roosters are big sellers, paintings of them always sell in the galleries around me. The eggs on your blog are also so artistic, I can see some great compositions with eggs too.
